Father time catches up with each and every one of us at some point in our lives; he caught up with me when my garden became a chore instead of a pleasure. I then had the task of planning the next phase of my life.
I proceeded to inspect numerous Retirement villages / Aged Care facilities. I chose “Ardmillan Place” for the following reasons:
Firstly: I was remaining in the same area in which I have lived for many years. I believe the move is much easier if it is into familiar territory rather than unfamiliar territory.
Secondly: The Ambience and location of “Ardmillan Place”. The bus stops at the front door and 2 stops later the bus arrives at Moonee Ponds Railway station, after a 20 minute trip you are in the Melbourne CBD, from there wherever you want to go. I even went down to Portsea for lunch one day, all on public transport. Giving up driving is not such a hardship.
Thirdly: The spaciousness in the building.
Fourthly: “Ardmillan Place” offers the following:
A ‘one-stop-shop’ just up the road from where I had lived for many years. Considering the above, why would one not select “Ardmillan Place”.
I moved into “Ardmillan Place” in July 2006. I was the first resident in the Apartments and have not regretted this decision over the past 8 years.
Since moving in, I have found my expectations of “Ardmillan Place” have been fulfilled:
Ardmillan Place has provided me with a relatively stress-free life and may even have extended my use-by-date, who knows?
